Rayan Ait-Nouri's second-half own goal saw Leeds complete a comeback victory over visitors Wolves.

It took just six minutes for the men from Molineux to find the net, when Hee Chan Hwang picked up Pedro Neto's pass and played in Daniel Podence to score from close range.

But Rodrigo levelled for the Whites after 21 minutes — seizing on a loose ball and finishing neatly at the near post.

And Jesse Marsch's outfit completed the turnaround when Ait-Nouri turned Patrick Bamford's cross into his own net with 74 minutes on the clock.

Wolves boss Bruno Lage cut an increasingly frustrated figure on the touchline at Elland Road and appeared to snub Marsch's offer of a handshake at full-time.

Asked what had been said between the two, Lage replied: "Nothing against the manager, but I heard something I didn't like.

"There are some things, in my opinion, that you cannot say."

Marsch, however, refuted any suggestion of a disagreement between the two coaches.

He said: "It was nothing really. It's normal. I have respect for Bruno and he does a great job with his team."

Marsch added: "I felt like we had a tough start to the second half, Wolves were pushing, we had to hold on and dig in a bit.

"The second goal was in some ways a little against the run of play but we were gathering momentum.

"I was really pleased that the guys who came off the bench made a big difference for us.

"I actually thought we had a bright start to the match. The response to going a goal down was really good and I actually thought we could have had a few more before half-time."

Did you know?

Leeds have lost their opening league game in just one of the last 19 campaigns when beginning the season at home (W13 D5), going down 2-1 against Derby in 2010-11.

Wolves have lost three of their last four Premier League games when scoring first, having lost just twice after opening the scoring in 55 games since their return to the top-flight in 2018.

Leeds' Rodrigo has scored more Premier League goals against Wolves than he has any other opponent (three), scoring in each of his last three appearances against them.

At 21 years and 61 days, Ait-Nouri is the youngest player to score an own goal in the Premier League for Wolves.

Jack Harrison created seven chances against Wolves — the joint-most on record in a single Premier League match for Leeds (since 2003-04).
