Our Monday focus is on Hereford's jumps card with the feature at 2.25pm

There is an excellent jumps card on the schedule at Hereford on the first day of November, with seven races from the banks of the River Wye venue in Hereford.

Racing begins at at 12.25pm and runs through until 3.25pm, with conditions forecast to be 'Good to soft-good in places'.

We have selected five horses for you to follow on the card.

12.25pm - Philip & Carol Houldey Golden Wedding Anniversary 'National Hunt' Auction Maiden Hurdle (2m3½f)

Jonjo O'Neill has his string in good order of late, with six winners from the Jackdaws Castle team across the last 12 days.

A DISTANT PLACE strikes as one that shouldn't be waiting too long this season to get on the scoresheet.

He was twice second in just three runs last season, finishing runner-up behind subsequent winners on his last two starts, here over 2m and at Leicester over 2m4½f.

With the yard in form, he may well be fit enough to take what is a good opening on his comeback run.

LiveScore Selection: A Distant Place

12.55pm - Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 'Hands And Heels' Handicap Hurdle (Conditional & Amateur Jockeys) (3m1½f)

Trainer David Rees will have been enthused no doubt to see KINGSTON KING running a rock-solid second at Ffos Las (3m, good) last month on his second start back over hurdles.

That represented a personal best over timber for the point-to-point/chase winner and, while he's officially 5lb out of the handicap, it shouldn't come as a shock if he is in the mix under Caoilin Quinn in this 'hands and heels' contest for Conditionals and Amateur riders.

LiveScore selection: Kingston King

1.25pm - Cazoo Novices' Hurdle (2m)

Great Heart'Jac went close in a bumper at Chepstow three weeks ago on seasonal bow for Fergal O'Brien and could pose a threat if taking to the jumping but BELIEVE JACK is readily preferred on stable bow for the red-hot Olly Murphy team (29 per-cent strike-rate lately).

He finished second in a Tipperary maiden hurdle over this trip (heavy) in May for Ellmarie Holden, pulling clear of the remainder.

That puts him in the mix and he is only likely to improve on it.

2.25pm - Cazoo Novices' Handicap Chase (2m5f)

Do It For Thy Sen is looking to complete a hat-trick
Do It For Thy Sen is looking to complete a hat-trick

The superbly-named DO IT FOR THY SEN recorded a quick double at Southwell in May over this sort of trip, scoring initially off 99 and following up in comfortable fashion from 5lb higher a fortnight later.

Kerry Lee's charge has been off since but if he returns in that same frame of mind this afternoon, he can likely complete the protracted hat-trick of wins.

LiveScore selection: Do It For Thy Sen

3.25pm - Ultimate Jumps Guide On attheraces.com/jump Mares' Handicap Hurdle (2m)

Last-time-out winners Peltwell and AMELIA'S DANCE are likely going to be prove popular in this Hereford finale.

Neil Mulholland's Milan mare Peltwell was recording a five-timer when she scored on seasonal bow at Huntingdon, perhaps fortuitously, and she has more on her plate from this 5lb higher mark.

Amelia's Dance was a long way behind her at Wincanton in May but has improved since returning from her own summer break.

After a good comeback at Newton Abbot, she won nicely at Stratford in the middle of October and, on the evidence, an 8lb rise might not halt her.

LiveScore selection: Amelia's Dance
