I'm so sorry

Aggie Beever-Jones was distressed to see Lia Walti carried off on a stretcher after catching her on the ankle during Arsenal's 4-1 win at Everton.

The Toffees ace, on loan from Chelsea, was initially booked for the challenge before being shown a red card.

And she took to Instagram after the game to apologise to the Swiss midfielder.

Beever-Jones, 19, said: "I'm absolutely devastated to receive the first red card of my career vs Arsenal tonight.

"At 19, I struggle to put into words how upset I am about injuring another player.

"Most importantly, I meant no harm whatsoever to Lia. I'm just not the type of player that would intentionally hurt another player.

"I'm so sorry Lia. I hope the injury is not too serious and you make a full and fast recovery for Arsenal and the Women's World Cup."

Ain't no stopping us now

Jack Grealish believes Manchester City are untouchable
Jack Grealish believes Manchester City are untouchable

Jack Grealish claims Treble-chasing Manchester City feel "unstoppable" when they play at the Etihad.

City crushed Real Madrid 4-0 last night to send the Champions League holders tumbling out of the competition 5-1 on aggregate.

And Grealish was delighted to give the home fans plenty to cheer about as Pep Guardiola's men moved to within three victories of glory in Europe, the Premier League and FA Cup.

The England star, 27, said: "When we are playing all together and when we play here we feel unstoppable. Even in the league, we feel like no one can beat us.

"You've seen what we have done to Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Real. It's unbelievable.

"Every game we play we try and dominate the ball. The manager is a genius."

Trevoh Chalobah has been learning from Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta as he adapts to playing on the right of Frank Lampard's defence.

With Reece James out and Azpilicueta being used sparingly having suffered a head injury earlier in February, Chalobah as been filling in at right-back.

Speaking to Chelsea's official club website, the 23-year-old defender said: "Azpi has been giving me a lot of love.

"Being on the flank is different to playing at centre-back and he's been helping me a lot.

"Being able to play in different positions is good for the team. Wherever I'm needed, I'll try to do my best.

"The more you play in a position, the more you get comfortable."

We need you

Dean Smith has called on Leicester fans to help roar the club to Premier League safety.

The Foxes head to Newcastle on Monday knowing they have just two matches left to pick up enough points to avoid slipping into the Championship.

And Smith is confident the supporters will not desert his team — despite the 3-0 home drubbing at the hands of Liverpool earlier this week.

He said: "Fans are the most important part of the football club. we need our supporters."

After facing Eddie Howe's high-flying Magpies, Leicester finish their campaign at home to West Ham on May 28.

Hammer blow

Paul Konchesky concedes West Ham must develop a ruthless streak.

The Hammers are six points clear of the Women's Super League drop zone with two games to play but have lost their last 10 top-flight outings.

Speaking ahead of his side's trip to Leicester on Sunday, Konchesky said: "The biggest thing we aren't is ruthless in both boxes.

"We know that Sunday is a massive game."
