FA Cup semi-final draw: Title rivals City and Liverpool collide at Wembley
Premier League title rivals Manchester City and Liverpool will collide in the FA Cup semi-finals — with Chelsea and Crystal Palace locking horns in the other tie.
City booked their place in the final four by winning 4-1 at Southampton earlier today, while the Reds edged a close encounter with Nottingham Forest 1-0 this evening.
And Micah Richards believes his old club will take some stopping as they chase the Treble.
The Sky Sports pundit said: "What Manchester City do in terms of grinding out results is outstanding.
"They starve the opposition of the ball and they were excellent in the second half [against Southampton]."
City boss Pep Guardiola added: "It was not a comfortable victory but now we go into the international break.
"There are two months left in the season and we are in three competitions. We know every game is a final."
Chelsea advanced to the semis, to be hosted at Wembley, by beating Middlesbrough 2-0 yesterday.
Romelu Lukaku and Hakim Ziyech were on target as the European champions continued to block out the noise surrounding the club's future.
And Palace sent the Selhurst Park faithful home happy after hammering Everton 4-0 — piling the pressure on Toffees boss Frank Lampard.
Eagles manager Patrick Vieira said: "Going to Wembley is fantastic. You can hear the atmosphere in the stadium.
"This is what the fans wanted and we wanted to give it to them. They've been fantastic in getting behind the team.
"It is just a step forward — there is a long way to go. This is an exciting period for us."
