- Tottenham have scored in 31 of 33 Premier League games this season
- Chelsea have kept one clean sheet in their last 16 matches
- Recommended bet:
Tottenham draw no bet

Losing the north London derby was a massive blow for Tottenham and they must regroup quickly for another capital clash away to fierce rivals Chelsea.

The opportunity to rub salt into Tottenham wounds is one which Chelsea will be eager to accept as they seek to find some positives at the end of a troubled campaign.

Chelsea have not been higher than ninth at any stage and are at risk of missing out on European qualification for a second successive season.

Spurs are 12 points better off but they are running out of time to challenge Aston Villa for fourth place.

Team news

Thiago Silva (groin) limped off towards the end of Chelsea's 2-2 draw at Aston Villa on Saturday and seems to have joined an extensive 13 player injury list.

The Blues travelled to Villa Park without Wesley Fofana, Romeo Lavia, Enzo Fernandez, Lesley Ugochukwu, Reece James, Raheem Sterling, Christopher Nkunku, Levi Colwill, Malo Gusto, Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Chillwell and Robert Sanchez.

Timo Werner (hamstring) came off in the first half of Tottenham's 3-2 loss at home to Arsenal and faces a spell on the sidelines.

The Lilywhites must also make do without injured quintet Fraser Forster, Ryan Sessegnon, Manor Solomon, Destiny Udogie and OIiver Skipp.

The stats

Chelsea have lost only one of their last 38 home matches against Tottenham.

The Blues have kept just one clean sheet in their last 16 fixtures.

All of Chelsea's last eight league matches have generated at least four goals.

Tottenham have scored in 31 of 33 league games this season.

The Lilywhites have gone six matches since their last shutout.

Spurs have won only one of their last seven away games.

Prediction

Injuries continue to be a huge issue for Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino

Tottenham need a response after their loss to Arsenal in the north London derby and they can deliver by defeating Chelsea in west London.

To say that Stamford Bridge is an unhappy hunting ground for Spurs would be understating the issue.

The Lilywhites have triumphed just once at the venue since 1989, but their chances of winning this week are assisted by a long list of Chelsea injuries.

Chelsea showed some spirit to draw 2-2 at Aston Villa on Saturday but Silva has joined a crowded treatment room and his leadership qualities could be sorely missed.

Spurs played some decent football despite their bitter weekend defeat and they have every chance of a better outcome on Thursday.
