Unbeaten boxer Frazer Clarke is loving watching Erik ten Hag knock his beloved Manchester United into shape.

A 2020 Olympic bronze medallist, Big Fraze's pro record stands at 7-0 ahead of an all-British showdown with Dave Allen on September 2.

But when he is not trading leather, the 32-year-old heavyweight is a regular at Old Trafford — and he could not be happier with United's progress under Ten Hag.

Speaking exclusively to LiveScore, he said: "I really like Erik. I like the way he's got the team disciplined and the feeling around the club again is very good.

"Players have started to take more responsibility for their performances and I feel that has stemmed from him. They've got a manager they respect.

"I'm not saying they haven't respected previous bosses. But when you have that high level of respect, it's a huge advantage when you're looking after a group of players.

"I'm a massive fan of Erik. I would love to sit down and pick his brains one day because there's a lot of stuff in football coaching that resonates with boxing."

Work to do

While Clarke is encouraged by United's progress, the Burton-born powerhouse admits they still have work to do.

Asked if his side are ready to challenge for the Premier League title, he replied: "Honestly, no. Not yet. Not with Manchester City as dominant as they are.

"They're the most talented team but also the hardest-working team. I'm a huge fan of the way they do things.

"Look at what Pep does with players. I've always been a huge fan of Jack Grealish but the level he's at now is testament to Pep."

Ahead of attending United's curtain-raiser against Wolves on Monday night, Clarke is relishing seeing some new faces in action.

He added: "The signing of Rasmus Hojlund excites me. He's a bit of the unknown.

"Andre Onana has big boots to fill. But from what I've seen, he's got a huge presence and commands his area very well.

"Mason Mount is a signing I wasn't thrilled about initially but he's a United boy now, so I'm 100% behind him!"
