With two selections from the Bundesliga, one from La Liga, one from Ligue 1 and one from the English Championship, here are five teams to back in this weekend's action across Europe.

The acca returns more than 32/1.

Saturday 2.30pm

Freiburg (10/11) to beat Werder Bremen (27/10), Draw (14/5)

Freiburg were hammered 5-0 by Bayern Munich last time out in the Bundesliga but they are nonetheless among the early frontrunners in Germany's top flight with the defeat to the Bavarians only their second in ten matches.

And the Black Forest club can get back to winning ways in the league against Werder Bremen, who were dumped out of the DFB Pokal by second-tier Paderborn on penalties on Wednesday.

Publicidad

Before that Bremen lost without scoring against Mainz and they could again slip up on the road to Freiburg, who are an organised and disciplined side under Christian Streich.

Prediction: Freiburg to win (10/11)

Saturday 3pm

QPR (10/11) to beat Wigan (3/1), Draw (12/5)

QPR hit the Championship summit following Wednesday night's batch of matches, having cruised to a 3-0 win at home to Cardiff and they can follow that with victory against Wigan at Loftus Road.

On a night when QPR clipped the wings of the Bluebirds thanks to a brace from Lyndon Dykes, Wigan were battered 4-1 by Middlesbrough on their own turf.

Publicidad

The Latics have now lost four of their last five matches and are worth opposing when they travel to the capital.

Prediction: QPR to win (10/11)

Saturday 3.15pm

Real Sociedad (11/10) to beat Valladolid (5/2), Draw (12/5)

Real Sociedad have shown no signs of missing Alexander Isak, who joined Newcastle over the summer, this season and find themselves in the early mix for the European places in La Liga after seven wins from their opening ten games.

They are also making an impression on the Europa League stage and are on a eight-game winning streak in all competitions.

This Saturday's opponents Real Valladolid were 4-1 winners at home to Celta Vigo last time out but that was only one of three league wins they have picked up this season and they could be out of their depth against the club from Basque Country.

Prediction: Real Sociedad to win (11/10)

Sunday 2pm

Clermont (13/10) to beat Brest (2/1), Draw (23/10)

Clermont are out to prove a point in Ligue 1 this season and, fresh from holding Monaco to a 1-1 draw last time out, they are fancied to beat basement boys Brest.

With only one win picked up in 11 league matches, Brest have seemed pretty hopeless this term and have already shipped 25 goals in France's top flight.

Publicidad

Clermont, meanwhile, are on a four-game unbeaten run in the league and have netted nine times in their last four assignments.

Prediction: Clermont to win (13/10)

Sunday 2.30pm

Urs Fischer will be hoping that Union Berlin can keep churning out performances

Union Berlin (10/11) to beat Bochum (16/5), Draw (12/5)

Union Berlin continue to defy expectations in the Bundesliga and last week's commanding 2-0 win over Borussia Dortmund means they have established a four-point cushion over Bayern Munich at the top of the table.

Janik Haberer bagged a brace in their most recent league win but it has been the attacking firepower of Sheraldo Becker and Jordan Pefok, who have nine Bundesliga goals between them this term, which has got them to where they are this season.

Going forwards they should have far too much quality for strugglers Bochum, who are propping up the Bundesliga table after eight defeats from ten games and an eye-watering 27 goals conceded in the process.

Prediction: Union Berlin to win (10/11)

Five teams for your weekend acca: Freiburg, QPR, Real Sociedad, Clermont and Union Berlin all to win.
