The busy midweek action from the Championship continues on Wednesday and we have selected our best bets from four of the night's clashes.

Stoke vs Huddersfield (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

The stats

Huddersfield have turned to experienced coach Neil Warnock to get them out of trouble, with the Terriers sitting in the bottom three with 28 points from their first 30 games.

Winless in their last six league games as well as having been knocked out of the FA Cup, Warnock returns to Huddersfield charged with the task of turning the West Yorkshire outfit's fortunes around.

Publicidad

First up, Huddersfield face a Stoke side who themselves are struggling having won just one of their last seven Championship games, failing to score in four of those matches.

The Terriers ran out 3-1 victors in their meeting at the John Smith's Stadium in August and have only lost one of their last four games against the Potters.

Prediction

With the boost of the returning Warnock, there is plenty of value in supporting Huddersfield to secure the three points, particularly given their recent record against Stoke.

Preston vs Luton (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

The stats

With three wins and a draw in their last four Championship outings, Luton have put themselves firmly in the play-off picture once again this season.

Publicidad

The Hatters next face a Preston side that have lost three of their last four league games and sit down in mid-table.

A lack of goals has been the main issue for the Lancashire outfit, with only Cardiff City (22) scoring fewer than Preston's 27 going into this week's fixtures.

Prediction

A shortage of goals have caused Preston problems in recent weeks and that could haunt them again, while they have lost their last five Championship games at Deepdale.

Bristol City vs Wigan (Wednesday, 7.45pm)

The stats

Bristol City have been making great progress under manager Nigel Pearson as they prepare to host Wigan at Ashton Gate.

Unbeaten in their last six Championship games, the Robins have suddenly emerged as contenders for the play-off places.

In contrast, Wigan look bereft of confidence at present, with their win over Huddersfield last time out being their first victory in nine Championship games.

Prediction

With two teams in contrasting form, it makes sense to follow the form horse and there looks to be value in supporting the Robins to continue their push for a top-six finish.

West Brom vs Blackburn (Wednesday, 8pm)

Carlos Corberan's Albion have won their last seven games at The Hawthorns without conceding a goal

The stats

West Brom will look to keep up their strong home form and boost their playoff hopes when they host Blackburn Rovers.

The Baggies have made The Hawthorns a fortress under boss Carlos Corberan, winning all of their last six home games in the Championship.

Blackburn sit  one point above West Brom in the table but are winless in their last four league games after draws with Bristol City, Wigan and Watford followed a 4-0 defeat to Rotherham.

Prediction

Blackburn’s recent form offers little confidence as they prepare to travel to the West Midlands on Wednesday, with the Baggies primed for a play-off push.
