Thomas Tuchel slammed Bayern Munich's performance away at Freiburg as they dropped more points in the Bundesliga title race.

The draw means hands Bayer Leverkusen the chance to increase the gap at the top of the table to 10 points if they win at Koln this weekend.

Bayern thought they had won the game with Jamal Musiala's late strike but Lucas Holer levelled the game with three minutes of normal time to spare.

Tuchel — who is leaving at the end of the season — was furious with his side's performance, which saw them go behind through Christian Gunter before Mathys Tel got the Bavarians back in the game.

He said: "We didn't play a good first half an hour. We deserved to be behind.

"We then played a good second half and were on the front foot, but couldn't reward ourselves.

"In the end we didn't win because of a lucky goal from a set piece that we couldn't defend.

"It was very clear that we wanted to play here with a different level of determination.

"But we only started doing that after conceding a goal. It was partly chaotic.

"We did things we've never done before we've never talked about them before.

"It wasn't a matter of will, we played recklessly for the first half hour.

"But a good half isn’t enough if we want to win here."

Bayern's spell of dominance in German football looks to be coming to an end having won nine Bundesliga titles in a row before this season.

Jamal Musiala's effort was cancelled out late on

Eric Dier, who is poised to trigger a permanent move to Germany, spoke on Bayern's depleting title hopes.

He added: "It's not in our hands now. We have to win every game remaining.

"We're very disappointed today because you expect Bayern to win every game.

"What's in our hands now is to win every game and see what happens. We won't give up"
