Celtic look to be cruising to yet another Scottish Premiership title under Brendan Rodgers.
Publicidad

- Both teams have scored in two of Celtic's last 11 league away games
- Aberdeen have lost their last five league matches
- Rangers have conceded twice in their last nine home league games

Champions Celtic get the action started with a trip to Dingwall to play Ross County, where they claimed a 2-1 win in October.

Aberdeen have to wait until Sunday to try and arrest themselves from their current slump, while Rangers also need to bounce back after a 1-1 draw at Dundee on Thursday.

Ian Wilkerson has correct-score picks for this weekend’s five Scottish Premiership matches.

Ross County vs Celtic (Saturday, 12.30pm)

Celtic are in a commanding position at the top of the table, but they will want to get their away form back on track after a goalless draw at Dundee United and a 3-0 drubbing in the New Year Old Firm game at Ibrox.

Publicidad

County needed a Ronan Hale penalty to register in a 2-1 defeat to Celtic in October and, while they have won three of their last four games, all of those wins have come on the road, so they may struggle to find the net this time around.

Score prediction: Ross County 0-2 Celtic

Hibernian vs Motherwell (Saturday, 3pm)

Hibs should be full of confidence as the only defeat in their last eight matches came at Celtic and they recovered from two goals down to earn a 3-3 draw with Rangers in their last game at Easter Road.

Both teams have scored in seven of their last eight home games and that could happen again when they face Motherwell, who will have been lifted by their 2-1 win in the capital in October, despite the fact they have taken just four points from their last six on the road.

Score prediction: Hibernian 2-1 Motherwell

Publicidad

St Mirren vs Dundee United (Saturday, 3pm)

St Mirren have lost three straight games since beating Rangers 2-1 on Boxing Day and they could be vulnerable against Dundee United, who have moved up to third in the table of getting back in the big time.

The Buddies have not kept a clean sheet in 10 home games, including a 1-0 defeat to United in October and it looks set for the visitors to triumph again in Paisley as they bounce back from successive losses to Hearts and Celtic.

Score prediction: St Mirren 1-2 Dundee United

Aberdeen vs Hearts (Sunday, 3pm)

Aberdeen have fallen to fourth after a run of 10 games without a win and, after five straight losses, they are vulnerable against Hearts.

The Dons won their first seven at home, but have earned one point in their last four at Pittodrie, which came against bottom-of-the-table St Johnstone.

Hearts can edge a single-goal victory just as they have in their last couple of games against Motherwell and Dundee United.

Score prediction: Aberdeen 0-1 Hearts

Rangers vs St Johnstone (Sunday, 3pm)

Rangers were frustrated by a 1-1 draw at Dundee on Thursday, but a home game against basement side St Johnstone should see them return to winning ways.

The Gers were excellent in their recent 3-0 win over Celtic and have conceded just twice in their last nine at home.

Publicidad

The Saints have taken one point from their last six and, after losing 4-0 at Celtic in late December, they could be set for another defeat by that scoreline on the other side of Glasgow.

Score prediction: Rangers 4-0 St Johnstone
