It is day two of Glorious Goodwood and the top-class action continues at the leading Flat meeting.

The Group One Sussex Stakes is the feature race of the afternoon but it is also supported by two Group Three contests.

Here are our five horses to follow.

1.50pm - Unibet '15 To Go' Handicap (1m3f)

Godolphin are having a fantastic season, particularly with their horses under trainer Charlie Appleby, who has a 40% strike-rate over the last 14 days.

They can team up for further success on the opening race of the afternoon with SISKANY

Publicidad

With three wins from five starts, the three-year-old colt has made an excellent start to his career. He did not run badly in the King George V Stakes at Royal Ascot, where he was hampered in the closing stages.

A drop down in distance gives him a great chance of returning to winning ways.

Selection: Siskany

2.25pm - Whispering Angel Oak Tree Stakes (Group 3, 7f)

Nell Gwyn winner Sacred will appreciate a return to 7f following a disappointing effort in the 1000 Guineas over 1m but she does need to bounce back.

On the flip side, HIGHFIELD PRINCESS comes into this race in great form as she bids for her fourth success of the season.

Publicidad

John Quinn's runner proved big fields were not a problem for her when she landed the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

She then stepped up in class to prevail in a Listed race at Chelmsford (7f) on the AW. A first victory in Group company can follow here for the filly.

Selection: Highfield Princess

3pm - Markel Molecomb Stakes (Group 3, 5f)

CHIPOTLE deserves his shot at this Group 3 contest as he beat 26 horses to win the Windsor Castle Stakes at the royal meeting.

He showed an impressive turn of foot to power home strongly in that Listed race for two-year-olds.

The danger looks set to come from the hat-trick seeking Fearby but Eve Johnson Houghton's runner has a little more experience on his side, which will prove advantageous.

Selection: Chipotle

3.35pm - Qatar Sussex Stakes (Group 1, 1m)

2000 Guineas winner Poetic Flare receives weight from a lot of his Sussex Stakes rivals

It is always fascinating to see some of the leading three-year-olds take on the older generation and that is going to be the case here with POETIC FLARE and Snow Lantern.

The former prevailed in the 2000 Guineas earlier this season and proved his class again to land the St James's Palace Stakes in dominant style.

Publicidad

The Irish horse is favoured over Snow Lantern who prevailed in the Falmouth Stakes.

They both can take advantage of the weight they will receive from the older horses in this Group One field.

Selection: Poetic Flare

4.10pm - British Stallion Studs Alice Keppel EBF Fillies' Conditions Stakes (5f)

CANONIZED has recorded three wins from her last four starts over this distance, including a C&D success back in April when she broke her maiden.

Defeat followed in the Marygate Fillies' Stakes but she was not far behind the winner in second place in that Listed race.

This will be William Haggas' runner's sixth start of the season.

Only Sienna Bonnie can match that experience. She could be much further ahead of the likes of Flotus and La Feile in this race when it comes to track craft.

Selection: Canonized
