- Millwall head for Carrow Road on the back of a pair of home defeats
- Recommended bet: Tie or Millwall Double Chance

Crowd pleasers Norwich did the double last season over Millwall, who will be desperate to stop David Wagner's free-scoring Canaries from continuing their bright start.

There have been goals galore in Norwich's two Championship matches thus far, all in stark contrast to Millwall's games where the goalmouth action has been scarce.

Team news

Norwich boss David Wagner could name the same starting eleven for the third successive league match.

Grant Hanley, Jacob Sorensen, Borja Sainz and Jonathan Tomkinson remain sidelined.

Publicidad

Romain Esse, the only Millwall player to find the net this season, is a doubt, as is midfielder Casper de Norre.

George Honeyman is a definite non-runner.

The stats

Norwich are unbeaten in their last five Championship matches against Millwall, winning five and drawing the other two.

The Canaries have fired off 43 shots in their two league games this season compared to Millwall whose tally is a more modest 22.

Publicidad

Norwich have won only one of their last six home games, Millwall have lost just three of their last 11 away.

Norwich top the goals-per-game table with an average of 5.5 goals per match; Millwall are bottom of that table with an average of exactly one goal per game.

Predictions

David Wagner has made a positive start to his first full season in charge of Norwich and will be determined to improve on last year's finish

A clash of styles at Carrow Road should make for an intriguing contest where the visitors are capable of avoiding defeat.

It has been a roller-coaster watching Norwich so far — they needed an injury-time goal to come from behind to beat Hull 2-1 and then lead 1-0, 3-2 and 4-3 at Southampton before ultimately settling for a point in a 4-4 draw.

Wednesday night's 1-0 win at QPR in the League Cup was restrained by comparison, although it was also a much-changed side.

Millwall's campaign has opened up far more sedately.

They left it late to win 1-0 at Middlesbrough and were caught late when losing 1-0 at home to Bristol City.

In between times — and again with many changes — they were crushed 4-0 at home by Reading in the League Cup.

Gary Rowett's style is not winning wholesale admiration among the Lions' fanbase but it was effective last season, earning the London club an eighth-placed finish just a point shy of a play-off spot — and a long way clear of Norwich.

Publicidad

The Canaries will be on the front foot and carve out the majority of the chances and there is plenty to like in an attack featuring the likes of Ashley Barnes and Josh Sargent.

But Millwall are not an easy side to sweep away and having won once on the road already at Middlesbrough, one of the tougher venues in this division to pick up road scraps.

They can therefore avoid a loss in Norfolk so consider the Tie or Millwall result in the Double Chance market.
