It is a busy Thursday with five meetings scheduled to take place across the UK and Ireland.

Doncaster is the pick of the jumps action, with seven races on the Virgin Bet sponsored card at Town Moor.

Racing begins at 1pm and the official going is described as 'Good', 'Good To Soft' in places.

Read on as we pick out our five to follow.

1.35pm - Virgin Bet Juvenile Maiden Hurdle (2m½f)

Former Flat winner REWIRED has shown some promise in his two starts over hurdles. He finished second of 10 runners at Kempton (2m) on his debut over obstacles.

This maiden contest looks a good opportunity for Dr Richard Newland's runner as he sets the standard based on what he has shown so far.

2.10pm - Virgin Bet Handicap Chase (3m)

CLONDAW PRETENDER remains a maiden after 10 starts but his last two performances over fences will have given his connections a lot of confidence.

He has found just one horse too good for him on both of his last two appearances.

Oliver Greenall's gelding remains off a very workable handicap mark. He is also still open to improvement as a chaser, especially on this step up in distance to 3m.

Trainer Oliver Greenall will be hoping Clondaw Pretender can score a maiden victory at Doncaster.

2.45pm - Virgin Bet Free Bets For Winners Handicap Chase (2m4½f)

Rebecca Menzies' chaser ROAD WARRIOR ended last season with a hat-trick of wins.

He got off to a slow start this season but has finished no worse than second place on his last three outings.

The four-time chase winner will benefit again from claimer Peter Coleman taking 10lb off his back.

This latest distance will not be a problem for him as he has won over 2m5f before. He looks to have a great chance once again in this small field handicap chase.

3.20pm - Virgin Bet Novices' Hurdle (2m½f)

This is set to be ICONE D'AUBRELLE's debut in the UK after moving to Neil Mulholland's yard from France.

The four-year-old has had one start in his career so far at Bordeaux Le Bouscat, where he finished that race strongly to prevail.

It is interesting this horse has several Cheltenham Festival entries, including the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and Triumph Hurdle.

He will be expected to maintain his 100% record. And if he impresses enough, he could be a dark horse for one of the novice hurdle races at Prestbury Park in March.

3.50pm - Virgin Bet Handicap Hurdle (3m½f)

Nicky Henderson is represented in this handicap hurdle contest over the extended 3m trip by SCARPIA

This horse is looking to successfully follow up after scoring at Plumpton (3m1f) last month.

The Seven Barrows runner escapes a penalty here and will go up 7lb in the ratings in the future if he repeats what he produced 10 days ago.

He will be the one to beat again here.
