Luis Enrique admitted Paris Saint-Germain are planning for life without Kylian Mbappe after substituting the Real Madrid target at half-time against Monaco.

Mbappe, 25, is strongly reported to have agreed to join Real when his contract expires this summer, though no official announcement has been made about the move.

The France captain was withdrawn for the second game running before opting to watch the second half of the goalless draw in the stands.

And the PSG boss says he is resigned to losing the 2018 World Cup winner and wants to find a way set up his team without him.

The 53-year-old said: "Sooner or later he won't play with us any more. We have to get used to that.

"I'm trying to find the best formula. I do what I consider to be best for the team. It's my decision."

Mbappe was taken off in the 65th minute against Rennes last Sunday with the side 1-0 down, before replacement Goncalo Ramos equalised in stoppage time.

Fellow Frenchman Randal Kolo Muani was the man introduced at the Stade Louis II but they were once again unable to find the victory.

Mbappe is PSG's all-time top scorer with 244 goals after joining from Monaco in 2018.

The defending Ligue 1 champions are currently 12 points clear at the top of the table and visit Real Sociedad in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie on Tuesday.

Their No7 scored the first goal in a 2-0 win over the LaLiga outfit in the first leg last month.
