Chelsea sign keeper Petrovic from New England Revolution
Chelsea have added to their goalkeeping options with the signing of Djordje Petrovic from Major League Soccer side New England Revolution.
The Serbia international, 23, will compete with fellow summer signing Robert Sanchez for the No1 shirt at Stamford Bridge.
He said: "It's so nice here. Everything here is set up to win, to learn and to achieve great things at the very top level.
"I'm so happy to be at Chelsea and I'm really excited to get started at this club. It's a big step for me and it's always been a dream of mine to sign for one of the biggest clubs in the world and today I have achieved that goal.
"Playing in the Premier League is something I'm really looking forward to doing and I hope to learn many things here at Chelsea. I can't wait to meet everyone and play at Stamford Bridge."
He added: "I grew up watching a lot of Premier League football so it really is a dream for me to be here now. I love the intensity of the league and the passion shown by the supporters.
"I know a lot about Chelsea. I remember watching [Didier] Drogba but, as a Serbian, I liked to watch players like [Branislav] Ivanovic and Nemanja Matic.
"I'm the next Serbian to play here and I want to achieve many good things at Chelsea like they did."
Mauricio Pochettino's latest acquisition played 43 times in the MLS and has two Serbia caps.
He is the Blues' ninth major summer signing, following the likes of Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia and Christopher Nkunku to West London.
Petrovic's arrival comes after Kepa Arrizabalaga joined Real Madrid on loan and Edouard Mendy left permanently for Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Ahli.
