Brighton and Tottenham are two of the most attack-minded teams in the Premier League and their Sunday afternoon showdown at the Amex Stadium should be high on entertainment value.

Tottenham ran Manchester United ragged a week ago and have now won five games on the spin after their Europa League success on Thursday in Hungary.

Brighton, meanwhile. have gone four Premier League games without a victory and rookie boss Fabian Hurzeler is finding out just how tough this division can be after failing to beat Ipswich or Nottingham Forest on home soil before shipping four goals at Chelsea.

There ought to be plenty of goals in this south coast clash and £65m summer recruit Dominic Solanke can continue his recent goal streak for the visiting side.

Team news

Brighton boss Hurzeler has undoubtedly had a tough time with injuries. He has confirmed that Joao Pedro, Jan Paul van Hecke and summer signing Matt O'Riley will all be absent again.

Publicidad

Joel Veltman, Simon Adingra, James Milner and Brajan Gruda are all to be assessed for the hosts, while the 31-year-old manager says Solly March could come into contention for the first time this season.

After making changes for the win over Ferencvaros in Europe, Ange Postecoglou could name the same XI that started last week's win at Manchester United.

The Australian believes Destiny Udogie will be ready, though it is likely to be a later call on skipper Heung-Min Son.

Wilson Odobert and Richarlison remain on the absentee list, while teenager Mikey Moore impressed in the Europa League win and will be hopeful of seeing more game time after coming on at Old Trafford.

The stats

Brighton have failed to win any of thier last four Premier League games for boss Fabian Hürzeler

Brighton have not won any of their last four league games following successive wins to start the season.

Publicidad

The Seagulls shipped four goals in a 20-minute spell in their defeat to Chelsea last weekend.

There have been three or more goals in five of Tottenham's last seven Premier League away games.

Brighton won 4-2 when these sides met here last season.

Spurs have won five of the last season meetings.

None of the previous 13 meetings have ended in a draw.

Prediction

There have been 12 goals in the last three clashes between these teams and another entertaining affair is in prospect now.

Brighton's novice boss Hurzeler made a super start with wins over Everton and Manchester United, though on reflection that form has not exactly been boosted by the Toffees or Red Devils since.

The German has now gone four Premier League games without a win.

Postecoglou made a record-breaking start with Tottenham last season but things got tougher for the Aussie as the campaign wore on, hindered as he was by injuries.

This term was on shaky ground after reverses against Newcastle and Arsenal in September and it could have been derailed had they not turned around the League Cup tie at Coventry with two very late goals.

Publicidad

That was the start of a five-game winning sequence that has Postecoglou in a good spot once more, especially after last weekend's butchering of Manchester United at Old Trafford.

His biggest signing to date was Dominic Solanke and the forward is now finding his scoring touch. He has scored in three successive starts and was rewarded with an England call-up this week.

He scored here last season for Bournemouth and should get ample chance to notch once more against a Seagulls rearguard that was torn asunder by Chelsea.
