Arsenal face another tough game in the Champions League, having already faced Europa League holders Atalanta and they will be keen to record their first win in this competition against Paris Saint-Germain.

The French champions are adapting to life without Kylian Mbappe without too many hiccups, winning six of their seven games so far.

Team news

Arsenal will be without the injured Takehiro Tomiyasu, Kiernan Tierney, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Mikel Merino for Tuesday’s game.

Ben White remains a doubt with a knee problem, which has caused him to miss the Gunners’ last two matches.

PSG have Lucas Hernandez, Presnel Kimpembe, Marco Asensio and Desire Doue all out, while Gianluigi Donnarumma, Nuno Mendes and Vitinha face fitness tests.

The stats

Luis Enrique's Paris Saint-Germain's last three Champions League games have finished 1-0

Arsenal are unbeaten in eight games across all competitions this season, winning four and drawing three.

PSG failed to win any of their away matches in the Champions League group stage last season, drawing with Borussia Dortmund and losing to both Newcastle and AC Milan.

The Gunners have not lost in their last seven home games, keeping three clean sheets during that run.

Each of PSG’s last three Champions League matches have seen just a single goal scored.

Predictions

Arsenal came through a scare at the weekend when they let Leicester get back into their Premier League game on Saturday, before scoring a pair of late goals to win 4-2.

Mikel Arteta’s side have now let in five goals across their last three games, but their first five matches of the season saw his wily defence only concede once.

The Gunners will need to defend better against a PSG team that has seen the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Bradley Barcola step up and provide the goals that until recently, were mainly scored by Mbappe.

Barcola scored twice in the 3-1 win against Rennes on Friday night, leaving PSG in a familiar position at the top of Ligue 1, with five wins and one draw from their first six games.

Though both Arsenal and PSG are blessed with the sort of attacking talent that could easily see this game explode into life, their solid defences and possession-based play, could result in this being a cagey game with few goals scored.
