Nathalie Bjorn cannot wait to show the Chelsea faithful what she is made of after joining the Women's Super League champions from Everton.

With the Blues pushing for a fifth successive title, Bjorn is relishing the opportunity to play under Emma Hayes before the decorated head coach leaves for pastures new at the end of the season.

And the versatile Swedish defender, 26, is confident her new club's fans will like what they see when she is on the pitch.

Speaking to Chelsea's official website, Bjorn said: "You will see that I will fight 100%, I want to win every duel and every game.

"You will see some of my qualities with my passing — passing through lines is my biggest quality, I would say.

"I hope I can help the team with my style of play.

"I want to help the team as much as possible and I want to win as much as possible."

Bjorn, who has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at Kingsmeadow, quickly established herself as a key figure after joining the Toffees in July 2021.

And she is excited to be able to continue her journey in the WSL at a time when the league is growing and attracting some of the biggest names in the women's game.

Bjorn said: "This league is really good. I would say it's the best league we have in the world right now. Every team can beat every team.

"There are a lot of world-class players, so adapting from the Swedish league to England was hard in the beginning because you are playing against world-class players all the time.

"It's a very fun and competitive league.

"To sign for one of the biggest clubs in Europe feels like part of a dream that you have when you are young. I'm very excited to get this journey started."

General manager Paul Green added: "Nathalie's a very experienced, versatile player we have been tracking for a long time.

"She's a leader, is good on the ball and knows our league very well. We're really pleased to get the deal over the line."
