Chelsea fans have been treated to an unforgettable sight ahead of Wednesday's Women's Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

As part of UEFA's Queens of Football campaign and their Rivalhood content series, Blues ace Guro Reiten and Real's Hayley Raso appeared on a hologram above Stamford Bridge.

And the unique display was the perfect way to whet the appetite for what promises to be a mouthwatering Matchday 5 clash.

Chelsea were held to a 2-2 draw by Real in their opening Group D fixture last November but sit top of the pile after picking up wins over Paris FC and Hacken, who they also drew with at the Bridge.

Outgoing boss Emma Hayes has seen her side resume their campaign with two wins from two following the winter break.

They needed extra-time to see off West Ham in the Women's FA Cup before delivering what Hayes, 47, described as their best performance of the season against Manchester United yesterday.

Speaking after the 3-1 win over their WSL rivals, witnessed by 20,000 fans in West London, she said: "It looked like the standards we've set but it also was brave — and that includes the selection.

"I thought it was brave and I am proud of them. I thought today was the best performance of the season."

Along with Chelsea's clash against Real, Matchday 5 will see Roma and Bayern Munich collide, while holders Barcelona host Eintracht Frankfurt.

UEFA's Rivalhood series celebrates the passion for football through the eyes of rivals and heroes the Queens of Football through social media content.

Earlier this season, Euro 2022 winner Georgia Stanway sat down with England team-mate Lucy Bronze, while Sweden star Magda Eriksson quizzed compatriot Zecira Musovic on their friendship, club rivalries, international journeys and the battle to rule Europe.
