Liverpool to win and both teams to score

Liverpool will look to strengthen their title claims further when they travel to the London Stadium to face West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Reds came from behind to beat Leicester 3-1 on Boxing Day, and fully capitalise on title rivals Chelsea suffering a surprise 2-1 home defeat to Fulham earlier in the day.

West Ham were also victorious on Thursday, beating Southampton 1-0 at St Mary's, to move nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Team News

West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta will return to the squad after serving his suspension, while forward Michail Antonio remains on the sidelines with a leg injury.

Liverpool centre-back Ibrahima Konate is still struggling with a knee problem so will be unavailable, while right-back Conor Bradley is also out until January with a thigh issue.

Reds midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai is suspended after collecting his fifth yellow card of the season against Leicester.

Winger Luis Diaz will hope to return to the squad, having been rested against the Foxes.

The stats

West Ham are unbeaten in their last four Premier League games, but their only wins have come against Wolves and the Saints.

Julen Lopetegui's side have only lost one of their last six at home, scoring in five of those games.

Liverpool's win over Leicester extended their unbeaten run to 22 games in all competitions.

The Reds have yet to lose on the road this season, with their last away defeat coming in April at Goodison Park against Everton.

These two teams last met in the Carabao Cup in September, with Liverpool running out 5-1 winners at Anfield.

Prediction

Arne Slot's side continue to set the standard this season and they appear levels above their title rivals.

While the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea have all slipped up in recent weeks, Liverpool just seem capable of finding a way and the competition for places is bringing the best out of the Reds' squad.

West Ham will feel that they can at least get on the scoresheet thanks to their recent record at home, coupled with the fact Liverpool have conceded in four consecutive matches in all competitions.

However, the Reds have scored at least two goals in 10 straight games in the Premier League and they have enough strength in depth to overcome the Hammers in the capital.
