West Ham have pulled off a stunning transfer coup by landing Ajax winger Mohammed Kudus on a five-year contract.

The fee is reportedly a £38.5million package which includes a sell-on clause.

Kudus has spoken about how delighted he is with the move, saying: “I've been dreaming to play in a league like this since I was a kid.

"I’'e been dreaming of this moment and I’m so happy to be here. But it doesn't stop here, I want to keep going.

"I try my best to entertain the fans as I think that's what football is all about. I'm just here to do my best and help the team.

"I'm really happy to be here. I will fight for the badge. I can't wait to get started."

Chelsea, Arsenal and Brighton were among a host of clubs chasing the Ghana international, 23, after reports emerged in April that he would not be extending his stay in Amsterdam.

But it is the Hammers who have won the race for his signature, adding some much-needed depth to Moyes' forward line at the London Stadium.

Kudus scored 27 goals in 87 appearances for Ajax in all competitions, with his sparkling Champions League performances against the likes of Liverpool and Napoli last season earning him global acclaim.

He also starred for his nation at the World Cup in Qatar, netting twice in a 3-2 victory over South Korea and impressing in a narrow defeat to Portugal by the same scoreline.

Equally capable when deployed in an attacking midfield or central striker role, the pacy attacker will now hope to take his game to the next level under Moyes.
