West Brom vs Cardiff predictions: Bluebirds to profit from stuttering Baggies
- West Brom have not won in over a month
- Cardiff have improved under caretaker boss Omer Riza
- Recommended bet: Tie or Cardiff
Cardiff will be eager to keep the momentum going when they make the trip to The Hawthorns on Saturday to take on a struggling West Brom in the Championship.
The Bluebirds are enjoying a mini-resurgence under the caretaker manager Omer Riza and will fancy their chances of getting something against the Baggies, who are without a win in five matches.
Team news
West Brom are missing only Daryl Dike due to injury although he could be back in first-team action by mid-November.
Carlos Corberan may decide to tweak his starting XI in a bid to get back to winning ways, with the likes of Jon Swift, Michael Johnston and Lewis Dobbin pushing for recalls.
Cardiff remain without the services of Cian Ashford, Joe Ralls, Aaron Ramsey, Ryotaro Tsunoda and Kion Etete, with the quintet in line to return next month.
The stats
After winning five and drawing one of their opening six Championship matches, West Brom have failed to win any of their next five fixtures, taking three points from a possible 15.
The Baggies have failed to score in three of their last four assignments and have also been blanked in three of their five games at the Hawthorns.
Since losing 4-1 to Hull in Riza's first game as caretaker, Cardiff have embarked on a four-match unbeaten run, beating Millwall, Plymouth and Portsmouth and drawing with Bristol City.
The Bluebirds have scored nine goals and conceded just once during this unbeaten period, a run of results that has lifted the club out of the relegation zone.
Prediction
West Brom are desperate to get back to winning ways after two defeats and three draws, but that wait may go on as they prepare to take on a Cardiff side that are enjoying life under Riza.
The caretaker boss has instilled belief and confidence in the Bluebirds' squad and they have found their scoring touch, something which was missing under previous manager Erol Bulut.
It is a different story for the Baggies, who have lost their early season form and are close to slipping out of the play-off positions after what was a promising beginning to the campaign.
Cardiff will feel this is a great chance to pick up three points, but given the fact they have not won away this season, the safer play here is to look at the double chance market.
