Weekend acca predictions: Five teams to follow across Europe

Bet 1: Back Brest to beat Le Havre at 13/8

Sunday's clash will be the first-ever Ligue 1 meeting between these two sides, as Le Havre step up after promotion last season.

Brest boss Eric Roy has lost Franck Honorat to Borussia Monchengladbach over the summer, but he has added Mahdi Camara to his squad in the middle of the park.

Brest comfortably avoided relegation last season, winning 11 of their 38 matches, and they should have too much class for the newcomers.

Bet 2: Back Eintracht Frankfurt to beat SV Darmstadt 98 at 10/27

Frankfurt missed out on a place in the Europa League last season on goal difference, but they will be playing in the Europa Conference League over the next few months.

Coach Dino Toppmoller has been given plenty of money to spend to improve his squad, adding Willian Pacho, Hugo Larsson, Junior Dina Ebimbe, Ansgar Knauff, Jessic Ngankam and Philipp Max to his ranks.

They face newcomers Darmstadt on home soil first up, and they should have no problems picking up an opening-weekend victory.

Bet 3: Back Barcelona to beat Cadiz to zero at 5/8

Reigning champions Barcelona have spent most of the summer cashing in on their fringe players, but they have still added Oriol Romeu, Ilkay Gundogan and Inigo Martinez to their dressing room.

Xavi managed to keep Real Madrid at bay last season, and an opener against Cadiz should pose few problems. 

Barca have won the previous two meetings against Cadiz without conceding, while Cadiz have only scored in one of the last four games between the two sides.

Bet 4: Back Lazio to beat Lecce at 1/1

After narrowly avoiding relegation last season, Lecce will try and make life more comfortable for themselves this time around, but they are likely to get off to a bumpy start.

Lazio may have sold Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, but the addition of Taty Castellanos and Gustav Isaksen should improve their attack.

Lecce are unbeaten in three against Lazio, but Maurizio Sarri's side finished second last season and should have too much class.

Bet 5: Back Juventus to beat Udinese at 5/6

It has been another summer of change at Juventus, but the Old Lady should still be competing for a European spot under Massimiliano Allegri.

Juve are ineligible to compete in Europe this season, but that may actually work in their favour as they can focus fully on Serie A. 

Udinese should once again sit comfortably in mid-table, but they have not beaten Juve since July 2020, a run of six matches.

Allegri has added some youth and pace into his team in the close season, and they will be expected to get off to a winning start this weekend.
