Aldershot finished with nine men as they were beaten 2-0 by Wealdstone in their Vanarama National League encounter at the EBB Stadium.

Alex Reid gave the visitors the lead with a penalty on the stroke of half-time after being fouled by Christian Maghoma.

Josh Barrett fired over from a free-kick as Shots chased an equaliser but the hosts were grateful for a fine save by Marcus Dewhurst to deny Max Kretzschmar.

Aldershot’s hopes were all but ended when Dan Ellison and Aaron Jones were sent off for second bookable offences in the final 10 minutes and Kretzschmar wrapped up the win in stoppage time.
