Transfer Talk: All the latest Osimhen news in bite-sized chunks
Victor Osimhen signed a new contract with Napoli last December but remains in demand.
The Nigerian striker enjoyed a magnificent 2022-23 at Napoli, with his 26 goals and impressive all-round play helping fire the Partenopei to their first Serie A title since 1990.
Interest in the 25-year-old remains high, with numerous European and Saudi Pro League clubs jostling to acquire his coveted signature.
March 15: Chelsea despair
Chelsea are giving up hope of convincing Victor Osimhen to sign for them despite making considerable efforts behind the scenes.
The Blues feel Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal have become frontrunners in the race to recruit the Nigerian striker this summer, according to TEAMtalk.
Ligue 1 leaders PSG are set to have a gap in their squad as Kylian Mbappe departs, while the Gunners are also prepared to clear the decks to sign Osimhen.
March 5: United in the mix
Manchester United are one of the frontrunners in the race for Victor Osimhen's signature, according to The Independent.
However, the report makes it clear that the Red Devils face stiff competition in the form of Paris Saint-Germain.
United's new co-owner Jim Ratcliffe is said to view Osimhen as a statement signing that fits in with his forward-thinking philosophy.
February 16: PSG interest
Victor Osimhen is one of the leading candidates to replace Kylian Mbappe at Paris Saint-Germain, according to a report from The Athletic.
Mbappe is set to leave the Ligue 1 champions on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Osimhen has also been regularly linked with a summer move away from Napoli and has a release clause in his contract worth a reported £112million.
January 26: All over
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has confirmed Victor Osimhen will leave the club this summer.
Osimhen declared he had made a decision on his future earlier this week and now the club chief has confirmed a sale will be sanctioned, naming three potential destinations.
De Laurentiis said: "This was already known since this summer. We knew he would go to Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain or a top English club.
January 23: Decision made
Victor Osimhen says he has decided where he wants to play next season.
The Nigeria striker has been linked with a move from Napoli to a host of European and Saudi Pro League clubs.
He told CBS: "I have already made my decision on the next step to do at the end of the season. I want to finish the season with Napoli strong then come up with the decision I've already made."
