Crystal Palace are expected to open contract talks with talisman Eberechi Eze.

The England international, 25, was the subject of interest from Manchester City and Chelsea over the summer but chose to remain at Selhurst Park.

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Palace are keen to sort Eze's future as his current deal is set to expire in 2025.

The midfield maestro scored 10 goals in the Premier League last term and opened his account for this season in the 3-2 win over Wolves on September 3.

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is set to leave the club in January after failing to secure a transfer in the summer.

The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich and according to Fabrizio Romano, he is still eager to make the switch to the Allianz Arena after rejecting Nottingham Forest.

Current Bayern boss Thomas Tuchel handed Chalobah his Premier League debut in August 2021 as the Blues beat Crystal Palace 3-0.

The versatile centre-back is yet to make an appearance or feature in a matchday squad since Mauricio Pochettino took charge at Stamford Bridge.
