Transfer Talk: Liverpool identify Neto as Salah replacement
Liverpool are interested in signing Wolves winger Pedro Neto.
The Reds have identified the 23-year-old attacker as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah if the Egyptian chooses to leave Anfield next year.
Salah, 31, was heavily linked with a switch to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad this summer with reports of a £150million bid rejected by the Merseysiders — and Nuno Espirito Santo's side are expected to reignite their pursuit in 2024.
Liverpool are therefore considering a move for Neto, according to Football Transfers, with the forward said to have been on the club's radar for a while.
The Portugal international has enjoyed a superb start to the campaign at Wolves after recovering from a serious knee injury and currently sits joint-top of the Premier League assists chart with four.
Neto also played a key role in the West Midlanders' 2-1 victory over champions Manchester City last Saturday, with his cross after a mazy dribble contributing to Ruben Dias' first-half own goal.
Liverpool are not the only top European club interested in Neto, though.
As reported by 90min, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid are also keen on the highly-rated Portuguese.
