Arsenal are targeting Alexander Isak — and the Swede wants to play in the Premier League.

Isak, 22, shone for his country at Euro 2020 and has taken that form into the new season with five goals in 12 games for Real Sociedad.

Mikel Arteta’s Gunners revolution is gathering pace and they have identified the striker as their next target.

Alexandre Lacazette is expected to leave when his contract ends next summer and Isak is the club’s ideal replacement, say the Sun.

And in an interview with the Independent, the hitman has talked up his desire to one day move to England.

Isak said: "I’m in a good place at the moment, I’m very happy, but one day it would be nice to play in England as well.

"They have six or seven of the biggest clubs in the world, it’s a very high level, and of course one day it would be an alternative.

"Every player wants to be the best version of themselves and reach the highest possible level.

"I have expectations for myself that I’m trying to fulfil, so we’ll see where the journey takes me in future."

Mourinho eyes London duo

Jose Mourinho wants to raid London for two of his former players in January.

The Roma boss is eyeing moves for Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tottenham outcast Harry Winks, say reports in Italy.

But a move for either of them may be hard to pull off for the Italian club.

Loftus-Cheek is enjoying a renaissance under Thomas Tuchel and shone for the Blues in their Champions League victory at Malmo.

Tuchel has spoken highly of the 25-year-old and is unlikely to sanction any sale midway through the season.

Winks’ future at Spurs is up in the air following the appointment of Antonio Conte.

The playmaker, 25, had fallen out of favour under Nuno Espirito Santo and openly spoke about looking for a move.

But Conte’s arrival may give him a new lease of life in North London and Winks may want to see how the next six months pan out before deciding what the future has in store.

Sky Italia report that Inter Milan will block any move for their players from former boss Antonio Conte now he has taken over at Tottenham.

Reports in France suggest Newcastle will look to sign Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, who is currently on loan at Marseille.

Liverpool are at the front of the queue to sign highly-rated Fulham youngster Fabio Carvalho when his contract runs out next summer, according to Teamtalk.
