Top Manchester United target Jadon Sancho has been told that he can finally leave Borussia Dortmund.

In what was the transfer saga of last summer, the Red Devils failed in a long-running pursuit of the England winger after being unable to agree a fee with his German employers.

But things look set to be different 12 months on, with German outlet BILD (via the Daily Mail) reporting that this summer will represent a “final goodbye” for Sancho, 21, at Dortmund.

It is thought that BVB now view losing the dynamic Englishman as an "acceptable" alternative to selling their talismanic forward Erling Haaland — another star on the wishlist of several top sides around Europe.

The report even claims that last year’s asking price of over £100 million could be lowered significantly, with around £75m now considered an acceptable amount.

Chelsea have also been linked with the England international in recent weeks and news of his availability will have piqued the Blues hierarchy's interest.

RB Leipzig expect their central defender Ibrahima Konate to join Liverpool this summer, with the Reds set to meet his £30m release clause.

Frenchman Konate, 22, was restricted to just 21 appearances for Leipzig in an injury-hit campaign and was an unused substitute in both legs of their Champions League clash with Liverpool — a tie which the Reds won 4-0 on aggregate.

But Sky Sports say that the Germans are being proactive in lining up a replacement for the youngster after receiving indication that the Merseysiders will soon stump up the required fee to begin talks.

Konate would be the second high-profile defensive departure from the Bundesliga runners-up with his fellow Frenchman Dayot Upamecano already having agreed to join Bayern Munich on July 1.

Previously linked with Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, Konate’s comfort on the ball is thought to have impressed Jurgen Klopp as he looks to boost his defensive options at Anfield.
