Tottenham are ready to swoop in and derail Arsenal’s bid to sign Gabriel Jesus.

The Manchester City forward looks set to leave the Etihad in search of a regular starting spot elsewhere this summer.

And the Gunners have long been named as his most likely destination with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah set to leave the club when their contracts end.

But that could all change with the Telegraph reporting that Spurs are one of six other clubs keen on the 25-year-old Brazilian.

Antonio Conte guided Tottenham to Champions League qualification at the expense of Arsenal and that could prove key in negotiations.

Jesus is capable of playing as a wide forward, as he did regularly for Pep Guardiola, or through the middle.

He would be both a top-class back-up to Harry Kane and a player capable of challenging Heung-Min Son and Dejan Kulusevski for their spots.

Jesus might not be the only one of City’s forwards leaving despite their Premier League win.

Real Madrid’s failure to capture Kylian Mbappe means they are turning their attention to Raheem Sterling.

The England international, 27, has been tipped to depart the Etihad for Real before and the Star believe this is the window it may finally happen.

But it will not be just departures for City with Leeds midfielder Kalvin Phillips reportedly one of their top targets.

Fernandinho’s departure means Guardiola wants another defensive midfielder to compete with Rodri and the Mail say Phillips, 26, is on the Spaniard’s radar.

Kylian Mbappe has revealed to the Telegraph that he spoke to Liverpool as well as Real Madrid when contemplating his Paris Saint-Germain future.

The Telegraph also say that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has identified Youri Tielemans as one of his top targets ahead of next season.

Finally, both Everton and Aston Villa are interested in swooping for James Tarkowski after Burnley’s relegation from the Premier League, claim the Times.
