Transfer Talk: All the latest gossip from around the world
Southampton striker Danny Ings is on Manchester United’s radar as they look to strengthen Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.
Despite Edinson Cavani signing another one-year deal at Old Trafford, Solskjaer is keen to add more options going forward.
Speaking on Tuesday, the United boss said: "Of course Edi signed but how many good strikers have we had at this club?
"I can’t say we’re not signing a striker."
Despite links with Tottenham’s Harry Kane, a cut-price move for Ings, 28, is an option for the Red Devils, according to The Telegraph.
The striker has netted 13 goals this season, despite missing large chunks through injury, and passed the 20-mark in 2019-20.
After an injury-plagued spell at Liverpool, Ings is thought to be keen on testing himself in the Champions League again.
Blues eye Sancho
Chelsea are set to launch an £80million bid for Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho.
But they will face competition from Manchester United for the Englishman after they failed to secure his signature last summer.
Dortmund previously slapped a huge £117m price tag on Sancho, 21, to ward off any suitors but he is expected to be available for less due to the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Sun report the Blues are hopeful the England winger will want to join his boyhood club and move back to London instead of heading to Old Trafford.
Thomas Tuchel is thought to be a big fan of the talented youngster and is keen to add him to the attacking options already at his disposal.
Henderson future in the air
David de Gea’s return to the United starting line-up against Fulham on Tuesday has put a whole host of clubs on red alert over the future of Dean Henderson.
Henderson had been keeping the experienced Spaniard out of the side in recent months but was seemingly dropped after a poor display against Liverpool.
It is still not clear who Solskjaer wants as his No1 next season and Sky Sports say the club expect one of their keepers to leave in the summer.
Henderson, 24, has made it clear he will only stay if he is the preferred choice and there are no shortage of interested parties if he does depart.
Tottenham, Chelsea, Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan have all been linked with the United academy product, who previously impressed during two seasons on loan at Sheffield United.
