Transfer Talk: Bayern eye move for Liverpool's Mane
Bayern Munich are ready to move for Liverpool star Sadio Mane this summer.
The Senegalese forward only has one year remaining on his contract at Anfield and is yet to sign a new one.
Talks have taken place but no agreement has been reached despite Jurgen Klopp’s desire to keep the 30-year-old.
Sky in Germany report that Mane is frustrated at the continued focus on Mohamed Salah’s future over his own.
He has scored 21 goals this term and continues to be a key part of the Liverpool side attempting to complete an unprecedented Quadruple.
But Bayern are ready to pounce and reportedly held talks with Mane’s agency over a potential move last week.
The Germans are expected to splash the cash in the transfer window after being dumped out of the Champions League by Villarreal in the quarter-finals.
There is also the chance that Robert Lewandowski will depart, meaning a chance for a new star to lead the line.
Mane moved to Liverpool in 2016 and has netted 118 goals in 265 appearances for Klopp’s side.
It is not the first time he has been tipped to make an exit with Real Madrid heavily linked in 2019.
