Transfer Talk: Arsenal want some Timber for summer rebuild
Ajax defender Jurrien Timber could be on his way to Arsenal this summer.
The Netherlands star, 22, has been made the Gunners' top target to strengthen their defence ahead of the 2023-24 campaign.
Mikel Arteta's side collapsed towards the end of last term after William Saliba and Takehiro Tomiyasu picked up season-ending injuries against Sporting in the Europa League last 16.
The Guardian report that Timber is keen on a move to the Emirates, but the two clubs are currently split over the valuation of the young centre-back.
Ajax are demanding over £30million for their talented No2, who made 47 appearances last season and has 15 international caps to his name.
RB Leipzig ace Mohamed Simakan is also reportedly on Arsenal's list of defensive targets for this transfer window.
The Frenchman — who can play as a centre-back or a right-back — is part of France's squad for the European Under-21 Championship, which kicks off on Wednesday.
