Christian Eriksen is reportedly ready for a new challenge away from Brentford, putting Tottenham and Manchester United on red alert.

The Danish playmaker, 30, enjoyed a successful six-month spell with the Bees last season after joining on a short-term deal in January.

Having inspired them to survival with a 13th-place finish during their maiden Premier League campaign, the club’s hierarchy were keen to extend his stay in West London.

But Italian transfer guru Alfredo Pedulla now says Eriksen is ready to turn down Brentford's offer as he explores other other options available to him.

After scoring once and assisting four times in 11 Premier League outings last term, a host of teams see a free move for the midfielder as a no-brainer.

Those include his former club Spurs, with manager Antonio Conte keen on a reunion with the ex-Inter Milan ace.

Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag is also in the market for new blood in the centre of the park, while potential switches to West Ham and Leicester have also been touted.

It is said that Eriksen would ideally like to play Champions League football, however — handing Spurs a boost over their rivals.
