Transfer Talk: Toon close in on Foxes star Barnes
Newcastle are set to make Harvey Barnes their second major signing of the summer.
The Guardian report that Eddie Howe's side will beat competition from Aston Villa and West Ham to secure a deal for the Leicester winger.
Howe is keen to add to his attacking options as he prepares for Champions League football and Barnes will challenge Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon for a place on the left-hand side of the Magpies' forward line.
Allan Saint-Maximin, meanwhile, is attracting interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League and could be sold.
The North East outfit have already signed Sandro Tonali from AC Milan this summer and will follow that up with the addition of an exciting attacking player.
Barnes, 25, has one England cap and scored 35 times in 146 Premier League appearances for the Foxes.
The former West Brom loanee netted 13 league goals last season, more than any other Leicester player, despite their shock relegation.
