Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is planning a mass January clear-out, with Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele, Steven Bergwijn and Matt Doherty all set to depart.

Spurs have started well under the Italian but were given an almighty scare by League One side Morecambe on Sunday as a late rally ensured they avoided an upset in an eventual 3-1 win.

The former Chelsea boss fielded several of his fringe players, including Dele Alli and Ndombele, for the FA Cup third-round clash but they failed to perform.

ESPN claim Conte has met with Spurs’ hierarchy to outline his plans to reshape the squad and it looks to spell bad news for several first-team stars.

Ndombele was booed off by frustrated supporters after an abject performance and the Frenchman looks likely to leave the club during the current transfer window.

The Athletic say that those close to the player and the club feel a move is best-suited to all parties after he struggled to live up to expectations since his £55million move from Lyon in July 2019.

The 25-year-old wanted to leave Spurs in the summer amid interest from Barcelona, though the report indicates there is no concrete interest from any club as of yet.

Fellow midfielder Dele Alli looks to have a similar fate after another uninspiring performance on Sunday.

The Telegraph claimed last month that the former England international would be free to leave in January and that looks to still be the case despite a return to the side in recent weeks.

Another exit on the cards looks to be Bergwijn, with Fabrizio Romano claiming the North London club have decided to sell the Dutchman during this window.

The 24-year-old is currently out injured but has played just 39 minutes in the Premier League since Conte took over.

Romano claims a return to the Netherlands with Ajax seems most likely but several clubs are currently in the running.

Doherty could return to former club Wolves in a part-exchange deal if Spurs sign winger Adama Traore.

Kylian Mbappe could turn down a move to Real Madrid in favour of signing a new deal with Paris Saint-Germain, according to Le Parisien.

The Athletic say Aston Villa have beaten several rivals to the signing of Everton left-back Lucas Digne.

Newcastle have added 21-year-old FC Salzburg striker Noah Okafor to their list of potential attacking signings this month, as claimed by TEAMtalk.

Burnley's Chris Wood could also be on that shortlist, with the Telegraph reporting the Magpies are pushing hard to sign the 30-year-old striker.
