Barcelona boss Xavi has revealed he is in "constant contact" with club legend Lionel Messi, who will be out of contract at Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

As reported by Goal, 35-year-old Messi would be welcomed back with open arms at the Camp Nou should he opt to return to LaLiga.

Xavi said: "I've already said that this is his home and the doors are open to him. He's a friend, we're in constant contact.

"It will depend on him, on what he wants to do in his future. This is his home, there is no doubt. The best footballer in history would always fit in."

Chelsea will sell Mason Mount this summer if they fail to agree a new deal with the England midfielder.

Mount, 24, has suffered a dip in form this term but the Blues are keen to see him extend his current contract, which will have a year left to run come the end of the season.

However, The Athletic claim the homegrown star will be up for grabs if an agreement is not reached as Todd Boehly and Co are not willing to risk losing him for nothing at the end of the 2023-24 campaign.
