Transfer Talk: Gomez is no average Joe in Real's eyes
Real Madrid are ready to make a move for Liverpool defender Joe Gomez.
The centre-back, 24, has found minutes hard to come by so far this season.
He was a key figure at Anfield prior to a serious knee injury that kept him out for much of last term.
And he has struggled to break back into the starting XI with Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip preferred alongside Virgil van Dijk.
According to the Mail, Gomez is attracting interest from Los Blancos after making his feelings about a lack of action clear to Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
He has only played 14 minutes in the Premier League and his last start came in the Carabao Cup at the end of October.
Klopp does not want to loan the former Charlton youngster out in January — but Carlo Ancelotti and Real are willing to wait until next summer to make their move.
Speaking last week, the German said: "It was obviously not the best year for him, but that's how it goes.
"We are patient and Joe is patient. I have no plans to give anybody on loan in the winter."
Liverpool an option for Haaland
Liverpool are said to be one of few realistic destinations for Erling Haaland next summer.
The Norwegian, 21, is widely expected to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season.
Sky in Germany believe the Reds are going to be in the market for a new No9 and that Haaland would be interested in a switch to Anfield.
The report suggests Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City are also in the mix for Haaland’s signature.
Though the Reds are not as cash rich as those clubs, Haaland’s £68million release clause means they can compete on this occasion.
And the prospect of playing in a lethal front three alongside the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane could tempt the Norwegian to Merseyside.
