Manchester City are keeping an eye on France and AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez.

Hernandez, 25, has been a prominent feature for Les Bleus at the World Cup in Qatar and was part of the side that knocked out England in the quarter-finals.

And according to Calciomercato, a deal could be in the works to bring the left-back to the Etihad in the near future.

The Marseille-born defender was given a run for his money by Bukayo Saka, but proved his worth and is deservedly drawing attention from top European clubs.

Hernandez's attacking output makes him a perfect fit for Pep Guardiola, who specialises in possession-based football and dominating games.

With 49 goal contributions in 140 games for Milan, the Serie A star would add yet another dose of quality to the City squad.

His fortune in a France shirt has come because of an injury picked up by his brother Lucas, but the flying full-back has seized his opportunity under Didier Deschamps.

Should he continue to play, he could be on course to help his country retain the World Cup and become only the third team in history to do so.
