Christian Pulisic's performances for the United States have attracted interest

Christian Pulisic will reportedly ditch Chelsea for their domestic rivals Manchester United in January.

Despite starting just three Premier League games this term, Pulisic has starred for the United States at the World Cup, grabbing a goal and assist to help steer his nation into the competition's knockout stages.

The 24-year-old prodded home a precious winner against Iran on Tuesday, clashing into opposition goalkeeper Alireza Beiranvand in the process which led him to be substituted with a pelvic issue.

While he is considered touch-and-go for the Stars and Stripes' last-16 encounter with the Netherlands on Saturday, it seems his performances have already prompted interest in his services.

Italian outlet Calciomercato suggest that Serie A giants Juventus have made contact with the West Londoners about a winter move for Pulisic and are also in contact with the player’s agent.

However, the same report claims that it is the Red Devils who are in pole position for his signature.

Erik ten Hag is out to bolster his attacking options at Old Trafford this January after Cristiano Ronaldo's contract was mutually terminated last month.

United enquired about Pulisic last summer but no deal was struck, though the player is thought to be keen to stay in the Premier League — handing them a significant advantage over Juve.

Chelsea would want a permanent agreement to be reached if they are to let their No10 depart, with £35milion touted as an expected price tag.

He has just 18 months left to run on his current deal at Stamford Bridge and does not appear to be a player Graham Potter wishes to build his team around.

Pulisic, who has an impressive 22 goals in 55 caps for the USA, registered 21 goal involvements in 34 appearances during his first full season with Chelsea but has failed to hit those heights since.
