Brennan Johnson is drawing significant interest from Premier League clubs in the final week of the transfer window.

The Welshman has impressed since arriving in the English top flight with Nottingham Forest and could be on the move before Friday's deadline.

We take a look at his options ahead of what is set to be a chaotic last few days of the summer sales.

North London calling

Tottenham are one of three London clubs pursuing Johnson with head coach Ange Postecoglou said to be extremely keen on adding the 22-year-old to his improving squad.

Spurs have started well under their new boss, winning two and drawing one of their opening three league matches but their frontline have been struggling to score without Harry Kane leading the charge.

Dejan Kulusevski has come under criticism for his lack of end product recently and despite scoring his first goal since January at Bournemouth last Saturday, he could benefit from some added competition.

Johnson is capable of playing on either wing and his arrival would also keep captain Heung-Min Son on his toes — the South Korean has yet to net this season.

According to The Telegraph, Brentford have recently tabled a club-record bid of £40million for Johnson.

But Forest are believed to value their speedster — who netted eight of their 38 Premier League goals last season — at around £50m.

Thomas Frank is keen to add quality to his attack after losing star striker Ivan Toney until January while he serves a ban for breaching betting regulations.

The Danish coach also values a data-driven approach to his signings and has identified the 19-cap international as someone who can increase his side's goal output.

If Brentford can beat the competition to what would be their biggest ever signing, then they would be in a strong position to try and surpass their ninth-placed finish from last term.

Blue is the colour

Mauricio Pochettino has been very vocal in his desire for another attacker after Chelsea's shaky start to the campaign.

The Blues have also been monitoring Johnson and could move for him before the window slams shut this week.

Poch said: "We were talking about one offensive player with the right profile to help.

"If you said to me we can add the right profile? Yes. But it's not to bring a player because we need one more.

"It's easy to say we need another offensive player but I think we have offensive players that need to recover."

It is not guaranteed that Johnson will leave Forest this summer but City Ground chiefs may not be able to turn down the opportunity of a huge sale.

Over the last three transfer windows, the East Midlands club have spent more than £200m on incoming transfers.

Johnson's departure would help balance the books and perhaps even fund some late additions to Steve Cooper's squad before Friday's deadline.

And having spent four successful years in Nottingham, now might be the right time for the versatile forward to ply his trade in the nation's capital.
