Manchester City have accepted an offer from Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr for defender Aymeric Laporte.

Multiple sources including the BBC say the Spanish international is set to become the latest big name to head to the Middle East, following the likes of Neymar, Sadio Mane and Karim Benzema.

The 29-year-old fell behind Manuel Akanji and Nathan Ake in Pep Guardiola's pecking order last season, making just 12 Premier League appearances.

City have since spent £77million on Croatian left-sided defender Josko Gvardiol, paving the way for Laporte to depart.

Chelsea agree Lavia deal

Romeo Lavia is set to become Chelsea's latest arrival after the Blues agreed a £53m deal with Southampton for the teenage midfielder.

Sky Sports say a move for the 19-year-old Belgian is at an advanced stage after he chose the West Londoners over Liverpool, who had also made a bid for the former Manchester City youngster.

Lavia impressed as he made 34 appearances for the Saints last term but could not prevent them from being relegated from the top flight.

The Daily Mail say Liverpool are now considering as many as six defensive midfield targets including Fulham star Joao Palhinha and Cheick Doucoure of Crystal Palace.

West Ham's move for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire has collapsed after the Hammers grew tired of waiting for him to agree his exit from Old Trafford, according to The Guardian.

That has reduced the likelihood of United bringing in Benjamin Pavard from Bayern Munich, Sky Sports have claimed.
