Manchester United are tracking Villarreal’s midweek match-winner Arnaut Danjuma after a string of impressive displays.

The 25-year-old netted the decisive goal as the Yellow Submarine won the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final with Bayern Munich 1-0.

It was his sixth European strike of the season and continued his remarkable rise after a £21million move from Bournemouth last summer.

Danjuma has been a regular for Unai Emery’s side, notching a further eight times in LaLiga.

And the Mail say Villarreal placed a £64m release clause in his contract when he swapped the South Coast for Spain.

United have also been linked with Ajax star Antony should Erik ten Hag be appointed, leaving it clear they still see wide areas as a position they need to improve.

But the Red Devils are not the only Premier League club interested in Danjuma.

Liverpool are also said to be keen on the left-winger as they continue to develop their squad.

While Mohamed Salah loves to come off the right wing on to his left foot, the Netherlands international offers the same profile from the other side.
