Manchester City are exploring a potential deal for Bayern Munich starlet Jamal Musiala.

The 20-year-old attacking midfielder has started only three Bundesliga games this season and his deal at the Allianz Arena expires in 2026.

According to Football Insider, Musiala's contract situation — along with reported concern over playing time under Thomas Tuchel — has alerted the Premier League champions.

The Germany international was a standout performer for Bayern last season, scoring 12 goals in 33 Bundesliga appearances.

Musiala's late strike at FC Cologne last May secured an 11th consecutive title for the Bavarians and he was subsequently named in the German top flight's Team of the Season.

The Stuttgart native could be a long-term replacement for Kevin De Bruyne at City and he has experience of playing in England after coming through the ranks at Chelsea.

Musiala spent eight years in the Blues' youth system before leaving in 2019 and Rio Ferdinand previously voiced his bewilderment at the fact he was allowed to depart West London.

The former England defender said earlier this month: "How Chelsea let him go, I don't know. This kid is a mad talent. He reminds me of Kaka. It's hard to say this but he seems like he's even silkier."

Lionel Messi is not considering any loan move from Inter Miami, says Fabrizio Romano, despite the fact the Major League Soccer outfit will not play a competitive match until February.

According to Fichajes, Arsenal will make a move for Fluminense's 22-year-old midfielder Andre in the January transfer window.

Liverpool have been scouting Sporting centre-back Goncalo Inacio and are looking to beat Manchester United to his signature, report the Mirror.
