Transfer Talk: United consider offloading Casemiro to Saudi

Manchester United are considering cashing in on Casemiro amid interest from the Saudi Pro League.

According to talkSPORT, the Brazilian midfielder is the latest Premier League star being targeted for a big-money move to the Middle East.

Prospective United minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is believed to be open to offloading the 31-year-old star, who joined from Real Madrid for £70million at the start of last season.

Casemiro enjoyed a superb first campaign at Old Trafford, playing a key role as United finished third in the Premier League and won the Carabao Cup under Erik ten Hag.

But the five-time Champions League winner has suffered an alarming dip in form this term and is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.

Arsenal in for Neves

The same report also says Arsenal are ready to hijack Newcastle's move for Ruben Neves.

Toon had been strongly linked with the former Wolves midfielder as they target cover for the suspended Sandro Tonali.

But Premier League clubs are expected to vote in favour of blocking sides loaning players from within their same ownership group — with Neves' club Al-Hilal and the Magpies both owned by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund.

That could leave the path clear for the Gunners to make their move as they bid to bolster Mikel Arteta's midfield options following Thomas Partey's injury.
