Newcastle are the latest Premier League club to join the race for Wolves star Pedro Neto.

According to The Daily Mail, the Magpies have discussed the possibility of signing the 23-year-old this summer but face stiff competition from their domestic rivals.

Liverpool and Tottenham are both reportedly tracking the Portuguese attacker and willing to fork out around £60million to secure his services.

Head coach Eddie Howe's interest in Neto stems from a disappointing campaign from Harvey Barnes, who has struggled to stay fit since joining from Leicester last summer.

And with a new sporting director also required on Tyneside after Dan Ashworth was placed on gardening leave, the Wolves winger would be a statement signing at St James' Park.

Neto has struggled with injuries of his own in 2023-24 but has stood out during his time on the pitch, netting twice and grabbing nine assists in 18 top-flight appearances.

His versatility is another attractive feature for Europe's top clubs as he can play anywhere across the frontline and as an attacking midfielder if needed.

It will be a competitive race to sign Neto in the summer and Wolves will stand firm on their valuation of the Portugal international, who is contracted at Molineux until 2027.
