Transfer Talk: Premier League trio enter Kimmich race
Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are all taking strong interest in wantaway Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich.
The 29-year-old German international is seeking a fresh challenge after just shy of a decade in Bavaria, according to The Express.
Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain had been seen as the frontrunners for his signature but now look set to face competition from three English giants.
City boss Pep Guardiola worked with Kimmich during his time as Bayern boss and is credited with inspiring the player's transformation from defender into all-action holding midfielder.
Now, a reunion at the Etihad could be on the cards — particularly given the struggles of £45million flop Kalvin Phillips, who was shipped out to West Ham on loan in January having failed to fire in Manchester.
Meanwhile, Liverpool face a summer of change with boss Jurgen Klopp's imminent departure and would dearly love to add the experience of Kimmich to their engine room.
And Gunners boss Mikel Arteta reportedly sees the 82-cap ace as the final piece of the jigsaw as he looks to build a squad capable of regularly landing major honours.
Kimmich wore the captain's armband in five of Bayern's opening eight Bundesliga games this term but has not done so since amid rumours of a fallout with his manager Thomas Tuchel.
It was announced last month that the ex-Chelsea boss, 50, will leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season following a string of poor results.
