Sunday's Euro 2024 Bet Builder tips: Dutch backed to prevail in opener
- There are three Euro 2024 matches taking place on Sunday
- Denzel Dumfries had a shot on target in each group stage game at Euro 2020
- Harry Kane has scored 10 goals across his last 10 competitive games for England
Sunday features three more games from Euro 2024 with the tournament up and running.
The action finishes up with England’s opener against a dangerous Serbia side, but arguably the value of the day comes in the early contest when a struggling Poland face the Netherlands.
Ronald Koeman’s side have impressed so far this year, while Poland limped to qualification and they are missing Robert Lewandowski for their opening match.
Poland vs Netherlands (Sunday, 2pm)
Bet 1: Netherlands to win
The Dutch have won six of their last seven games to nil and they have made a brilliant start to 2024, racking up three 4-0 wins in four outings.
Poland were poor in qualifying, claiming just three wins in eight games and two of those came against the Faroe Islands.
With Lewandowski missing, they are short on talent and look really outmatched.
Bet 2: Denzel Dumfries 1+ shot on target
This looks like a good chance for Denzel Dumfries to impress, with the wing-back set to get a lot of space to roam.
Poland’s set-up is very narrow and Nicola Zalewski is their only presence protecting against the runs of the Inter Milan right-back.
Dumfries made a brilliant start at Euro 2020, scoring in the first two games and having a shot on target in every group stage clash.
This clash looks like an opportunity for him to return to those highs.
Bet 3: Bartosz Slisz to receive a card
Bartosz Slisz picked up nine cards across his time with Atlanta United and Legia Warsaw this term and he heads to the tournament in foul-happy form.
The midfielder has been booked in three of his last six MLS games so another card appeals.
Serbia vs England (Sunday, 8pm)
Bet 1: Harry Kane to score in the match
It certainly helps England that Harry Kane has spent the season in Germany, scoring 36 goals in 32 Bundesliga games.
The former Tottenham striker has scored 10 goals in his last 10 competitive matches for the Three Lions.
Bet 2: Andrija Zivkovic to make an assist
Andrija Zivkovic made eight assists from full-back for PAOK in the Super League this season, while he set up one of the goals in Serbia’s 3-0 win at Sweden last weekend.
Zivkovic chipped in with two assists in three games at the 2022 World Cup and the wing-back looks dangerous, so back him for an assist on Sunday.
Bet 3: Strahinja Pavlovic to receive a card
Centre-half Strahinja Pavlovic faces a tough test on Sunday, especially as he can be exposed from the left-flank with Zivkovic set to push forward.
Pavlovic was booked five times in his last nine games in the Austrian Bundesliga, while he accumulated two bookings in three games at the last World Cup.
