- Stoke are yet to win at home under manager Steven Schumacher
- QPR are on a four-game unbeaten run
- Recommended bet: QPR to win

The fight for Championship survival continues on Wednesday night when Stoke welcome QPR to the bet365 Stadium.

Stoke head into the clash sitting 20th in the table, just two places and three points above QPR, and a victory for either side would provide a massive momentum boost.

The Potters are aiming to snap a four-game losing run that has seen them slip perilously close to the bottom three, while the R's arrive on a four-match unbeaten streak that has breathed fresh life into their hopes of staying up.

Team news

Stoke boss Schumacher made eight changes to his starting XI for the weekend defeat to Blackburn following a heavy loss to Leicester and he could decide to make several alterations again having failed to get the required response.

Josh Laurent and Enda Stevens both missed the defeat to Rovers and this match may come too soon for the duo.

QPR are set to welcome back Sam Field, who completed his suspension last time out, but Rayan Kolli is expected to remain on the sidelines because of a leg problem.

The stats

Stoke have conceded 13 goals across their current four-game losing run, with seven of those coming on home soil.

The Potters are yet to win at the bet365 Stadium under manager Steven Schumacher, with back-to-back 0-0 draws followed by three straight defeats to Brighton (FA Cup), Birmingham and Leicester.

QPR are unbeaten in four heading into this contest, collecting eight points during this period, and they have moved to within striking distance of lifting themselves out of the bottom three.

The R's beat Stoke 4-2 in the reverse fixture back in November, extending their unbeaten streak against the Potters to three matches.

Prediction

Schumacher is yet to find his feet since taking charge of Stoke in December, winning just two of his 10 games in charge, and the defensive frailties that have been exposed in recent outings will be a huge concern.

The Potters have shipped 13 goals in their last four games and have 11 in their last three home assignments, conceding four against Brighton, two to Birmingham and five when Leicester came to visit.

QPR have shown the kind of fight needed to avoid relegation of late, beating Millwall and Blackburn and drawing against Huddersfield and Norwich, suggesting they can secure a huge win in the Potteries.

The R's have also found their shooting boots, scoring in each of their last seven fixtures, and look set to deliver a huge blow to a relegation rival.
