Tottenham boss Ange Postecoglou will want his side to finish the season with victory at Sheffield United

- Relegated Sheffield United have won just three league games all season
- Tottenham can secure Europa League spot with win
- Recommended bet:
Tottenham to win and both teams to score

Relegated Sheffield United will want to try and restore some pride on the final day after a difficult campaign but Tottenham, who are looking to seal fifth place, should be too good for Chris Wilder's side.

While the hosts, whose relegation back down to the Championship was confirmed at the end of April, can play with plenty of freedom, Tottenham still have a job to do as they aim to ensure they finish fifth.

With in-form Chelsea just three points behind and with a better goal difference, a defeat for Ange Postecoglou's side, combined with a victory for the Blues at home to Bournemouth, would see Spurs slipping to sixth on Sunday.

That may end up also being enough for the Europa League next season if Manchester City win the FA Cup final next weekend, but the visitors will want to end that uncertainty with victory at Bramall Lane.

Team news

United midfielder Oliver Arblaster will be given a late fitness test but Anel Ahmedhodzic is back from suspension and Mason Holgate is also available for the hosts after he missed the defeat against parent club Everton last weekend.

Tottenham midfielder Giovani Lo Celso picked up a knee injury against Manchester City in midweek and is a doubt for the visitors.

Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Destiny Udogie, Manor Solomon, Fraser Forster and Ryan Sessegnon are all still out for Spurs.

Tottenham have won the last three league meetings between the two sides.

Spurs have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last 10 games.

Sheffield United have won just three games and drawn seven times in the Premier League all season, losing their other 27 matches.

The Blades have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 21 league fixtures.

Spurs won the reverse fixture at home 2-1 thanks to late goals from Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski.

Prediction

Tottenham have endured a poor end to the campaign, losing five of their last six games as a top-four finish has slipped through their fingers.

However, they should be motivated enough to end on a high by beating the rock-bottom Blades, who enter the final weekend on a run of six straight defeats.

The hosts have at least scored in four of those recent losses so they can again play their part in the clash on Sunday but Postecoglou's men should do enough for an important away win to confirm their Europa League place.
